The Proofing Parrot Kit features all-copper construction with an integrated water-cooling coil that reduces the output spirit temperature to approximately 20°C.
This means you get true, real-time ABV readings during your run, without relying on temperature charts or manual corrections. By cooling the spirit at the point of measurement, you’ll achieve more precise readings, cleaner cuts, and greater consistency from batch to batch – especially useful when dialing in recipes or repeating favourite runs.
The kit includes all required hoses and connectors, plus a mounting “perch” for attaching the Parrot to your boiler.
Mounting the perch:
When using an extension or sight glass, mount the perch so it rises up from the boiler.
When using just the Pot or Reflux Condenser, reverse the perch so it follows the line of the boiler lid.

Setup & use:
Connect cooling water to the Parrot first.
Use the supplied hose and fittings to connect the Parrot outlet to your pot or reflux condenser.
Start your run and allow the Parrot to fill.
Only insert your alcoholmeter once spirit is flowing from the spout and the Parrot chamber is full.
Once running, you’ll have real-time ABV readings throughout your distillation for precise cuts and consistent results.
