Established in 2006, Pure Distilling is an Australian-owned family business that began in a small workshop in Geelong. Since then, we’ve grown into one of Australasia’s leading home distilling suppliers, producing high-quality, lab-tested flavours, yeasts, accessories, and equipment that deliver reliable and consistent results. In an industry where most products are made offshore, we take pride in manufacturing locally in both New Zealand and Australia and keeping jobs onshore.
In 2024, Pure Distilling acquired Hauraki Brewing Company in Henderson, Auckland. This site is home to our state-of-the-art flavour and essence laboratory and bottling facility, where we also produce bases used in the commercial distilling industry. Home distillers benefit directly from this expertise, care, and quality control across everything we make, from our full range of spirit and liqueur essences to our yeast range, including speciality blends for all brewing and distillation needs.
Our goal is to be the first choice for all things distilling, whether it’s equipment, gin botanicals, or a simple enzyme to make the hobby easier and more enjoyable. We want people to have the best possible experience creating their spirits and liqueurs, their way.
